 A Brief history of SIDC

Swaziland Industrial Development Company (SIDC) was established in October 1987 to supply local and international funds to finance private business projects. SIDC is a private development finance bank which provides:

  • long-term loans
  • equity financing
  • asset leasing
  • industrial land and buildings
  • expert advice and guidance to local and international investors.
 SIDC Shareholders

SIDC was formed through a joint venture between the Government of Swaziland, which holds 34.9% of the shares, and five international development finance institutions:
